Kokoda Track -
Historical World War 2 site of battle, the Kokoda track is also steeped in cultural heritage of the Koiari people.
15 Days, 9 of which are spent trekking through the vast and defeating 'Owen Stanley Range'.
Two of these days are spent relaxing or exploring the volcanic calderas of Myola, up high in the mountain ranges, surrounded by thick rainforest, this unusual grass plains appears like a mirage before your eyes. In the distance one may see the small shape of a cabin in the distance, our destination for the evening, Myola guesthouse.
Two of these days are spent living amongst the villagers in Buna, Oro Province. Most of our trekking company boys come from Buna village. This stay includes the chance at paddling in a traditional outrigger canoe (called 'a Lagatoi'), a customary welcome sing sing, a traditional MuMu feast and as much swimming or beach bathing as one can hope for on the black volcanic sands lapped up by the warm Solomon sea....
Mount Bosavi, Southern Highlands:
Run through our sister company, TrekOceania, this is a truly remote and special exploration expedition for those with a keen sense of adventure. Hiking to jungle villages, traveling by zodiak to the base camp of Bosavi crater on the mighty Hegigio river, experiencing cultural ceremony which one may even be a part of. In an area where cannibalism was around until only 25yrs ago, the rewarding experiences and extraordinary scenery will forever be a part of this journey to the 'Lost Land of the Volcano'.....
Tufi Paddling Adventure:
A 16 day trip to the remote fiord-land coast of Tufi, Oro Province. This trip includes paddling on a huge traditional outrigger canoe from village to village along the northeastern coastline. Each stop includes a village stay and many optional excursions all included in the one fee. Traditional local food is served and because of the remoteness, one is able to witness first hand what living without the modern world can be like and how peaceful and fulfilling it is....
Sepik River Tours:
The mighty Sepik is one of the
world's largest rivers. It is located in Northwest Papua New Guinea
and cuts inland from the middle north coastline. It is
home to ancient tribes who have maintained their
